About the series
In the late 1990s, Marvel revived Journey into Mystery for a 20-issue run that blended espionage and supernatural martial arts. The series, most frequently written by Tom DeFalco and Scott Lobdell with art from Deodato Studios, Randy Green, and Sal Buscema, follows a new cast including Agent Carter Tenko and Lottie Hederman alongside Black Widow and Shang-Chi. This short-lived volume reimagines the classic title as a modern action-adventure saga, with the mystical Cursed Lotus adding a dark, otherworldly threat.
