About the series
In 1991, Marvel Comics released a single-issue comic adaptation of Steven Spielberg’s Hook, scripted by Charles Vess and illustrated by a team including Anna-Maria Cool, Craig Hamilton, and Denis Rodier. This one-shot brings the film’s swashbuckling adventure—in which an adult Peter Pan returns to Neverland to rescue his children from Captain Hook—to the comic page with lush, storybook-style art. Though it stands alone as a tie-in, it remains a fondly remembered artifact of the movie’s theatrical run, showcasing Vess’s distinctive fantasy touch.
