Hellboy

Mike Mignola's signature creation for Dark Horse, Hellboy ran from 1994 to 2012 across twelve issues, with Mignola as the primary artist and co-writer alongside Glen David Gold and John Byrne. The series follows the titular demon-turned-paranormal investigator and his allies—including Abe Sapien, Liz Sherman, and Kate Corrigan—as they confront occult threats, most notably the sinister Grigori Rasputin. Its moody, expressionistic art and fusion of folklore, horror, and pulp adventure established a distinct visual and narrative voice that would define a whole corner of modern comics.
