About the series
In the early 1970s, Skywald Publications briefly brought Hell Rider to newsstands, a two-issue series that fused the gritty, anti-hero energy of the biker genre with the horror and western trappings of its era. Written primarily by Gary Friedrich with artwork by Ross Andru, the comic followed a leather-clad, skull-faced motorcyclist who roamed a desolate landscape, dispensing supernatural justice.
