Haunted Thrills
Farrell · 1952–1954 · 18 issues
About the series
During its brief 18-issue run from 1952 to 1954, Farrell's Haunted Thrills delivered a reliably spooky mix of horror, suspense, and the supernatural, typical of the pre-Comics Code era. The series was largely a product of the prolific Iger Shop, whose assembly-line approach provided most of the scripts and art, with notable contributions from writer Frank Belknap Long and artists Carl Burgos and Robert Hayward Webb. While not a landmark title, it stands as a solid example of the EC-influenced horror boom, showcasing the atmospheric, often morbid storytelling that defined the genre before censorship reshaped the industry.
