Hammer's Halls of Horror

A short-lived but visually striking horror anthology from British publisher Thorpe & Porter, Hammer's Halls of Horror (1978–present) adapted the studio’s gothic film aesthetic into four comic issues. Writers Steve Moore and Brian Clemens, alongside artists David Lloyd, John Bolton, and Steve Parkhouse, crafted moody, standalone terror tales that echoed the atmospheric dread of classic Hammer cinema. Though brief, the series is notable for showcasing early work from Lloyd and Bolton, and for its attempt to translate the studio’s signature blend of period horror and macabre romance into sequential art.
