From 2006 to 2014, Zenescope Entertainment’s Grimm Fairy Tales reimagined classic folklore as dark, modern horror, weaving original stories around familiar fables. Published over 16 issues, the series was primarily written by Joe Tyler, Ralph Tedesco, and Joe Brusha, with painted artwork by Joe Dodd and Carlos Granda lending a lush, unsettling atmosphere. It established Zenescope’s signature blend of fairy-tale iconography and mature themes, launching a sprawling universe that would define the publisher for years to come.
