In the late 1990s, Dark Horse Comics resurrected a supernatural vigilante with Ghost (1998–2000), a 22-issue series centered on Elisa Cameron, a murdered journalist who returns from the dead as the spectral, white-clad hero. Steered by writers Chris Warner and Mike Kennedy, with moody, kinetic art from Ryan Benjamin, Christian Zanier, and Francisco Ruiz Velasco, the book wove noir detective work with horror and occult intrigue.
