A short-lived Swedish series from Williams Förlags AB, Flash (1971–1972) ran for just nine issues, bringing the Scarlet Speedster’s Silver Age adventures to a new audience. Anchored by the work of writers John Broome and Cary Bates, with dynamic art from Carmine Infantino, Irv Novick, and Neal Adams, the series spotlighted Blixten—the Swedish name for the Flash. Though brief, it remains a notable example of how American superhero comics were localized for European readers during the early 1970s.
