Fear Itself: The Fearless

In 2011 and 2012, Marvel's Fear Itself: The Fearless spun directly out of the Fear Itself event, spanning 12 issues that followed the hunt for the scattered hammers of the Serpent. With a rotating art team that included Mark Bagley, Frank Cho, and Paul Pelletier, the series deepened the event's mythology by focusing on the fallout of the Asgardian crisis. It mattered as a key companion piece that expanded the emotional and physical stakes of the larger storyline, giving readers a more intimate view of the heroes' struggle against the Serpent's influence.
