For a decade beginning in 1963, Mexican readers experienced the wall-crawler's earliest adventures through El Sorprendente Hombre Araña, a pioneering Spanish-language reprint series from Editora de Periódicos, S. C. L. "La Prensa." Spanning 185 issues, the comic presented classic stories by Stan Lee, Steve Ditko, John Romita, and Jack Kirby, translated into Spanish by Raúl Martínez.
