El Lobo The Man from Nowhere

From 1956 to 1958, Cleveland-based publisher brought readers 23 issues of El Lobo The Man from Nowhere, a Western comic series written and illustrated by the prolific Keith Chatto. The strip followed a mysterious, lone gunslinger who rode into town from the desert, dispensing justice with a quiet code and a fast draw. Chatto’s distinctive, moody art and lean storytelling gave the series a gritty, atmospheric edge that set it apart from more conventional cowboy comics of the era.
