Jan 1956 · Cleveland · 1/- [0-1-0 AUP]
“Wolf to the Rescue”

In "Wolf to the Rescue," El Lobo returns to the comatose Lil, awakening her just as she chooses to remain with the Madretos while he journeys to Arizona. Near Silver Gulch, he’s ambushed and captured by a gang blocking a mine to steal silver ore, setting off a tense standoff as the town’s miners, now armed after their pacifist owner’s death, prepare to confront the raiders. With a masked boss pulling the strings and a massacre looming, El Lobo must break free before it’s too late. Written and illustrated by Keith Chatto, this 1956 adventure delivers high stakes and rugged tension in a story that’s as much about resolve as it is about survival. The cover by Keith Chatto captures the moment’s urgency with stark, dynamic lines.
