Drive Like Hell

In this four-issue 2023–2024 Dark Horse miniseries, writer Rich Douek and artist Alex Cormack put the pedal to the metal for a high-octane horror road trip. A group of friends fleeing a supernatural threat discovers that the open highway can be just as deadly as what they’re running from, with every mile marker bringing fresh terror. Cormack’s visceral, shadow-drenched art and Douek’s taut pacing make this a lean, mean thrill ride that captures the claustrophobic dread of being trapped in a car with nowhere to hide. It’s a sharp, self-contained burst of genre storytelling that proves a great horror comic doesn’t need a long run to leave a lasting impression.
