Drive Like Hell #1

Dark Horse launches this high-octane series from writer Rich Douek and artist Alex Cormack, and the cover alone sets an electric tone: a sleek red sports car goes airborne above a chaotic pile-up of battered, blood-splattered vehicles below, the whole image crackling with a sun-drenched, open-road energy. Cormack's linework captures both the raw destruction and the strange thrill of that airborne moment — something has clearly gone very sideways, and yet that red car soars above it all. With lettering by Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou rounding out the creative team, Drive Like Hell #1 feels like the kind of series that earns its title right from the very first cover.
