Cadillacs & Dinosaurs
Marvel · 1990–1991 · 6 issues
About the series
In 1990, Marvel Comics published a six-issue series that mashed up retro-futuristic car culture with a primal, lizard-filled world. Written and largely drawn by Mark Schultz, with additional art by Steve Stiles, Cadillacs & Dinosaurs followed a cast including Hannah Dundee and Jack “Cadillac” Tenrec through a savage landscape where dinosaurs roamed and survival was a high-octane gamble. The series is notable for weaving in characters from Fritz Leiber’s Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser stories, adding a layer of pulp fantasy to its post-apocalyptic premise. It stands as a distinctive, short-lived experiment in genre-blending from the early ’90s Marvel lineup.
