Batman & The Shadow

In this 2018 one-shot from Panini Deutschland, writer Steve Orlando and artist Riley Rossmo unite two icons of vigilante justice for a single, atmospheric crossover. Batman meets the mysterious Shadow, a pulp-era avenger whose morally ambiguous methods challenge the Dark Knight's own code. With Gerlinde Althoff also contributing to the script, the issue explores the tension between these two shadowy figures as they confront a common threat. It's a compact but potent team-up that bridges DC's modern Gotham with the classic pulp tradition.
