About the series
In the wake of the Heroic Age, Marvel spotlighted its individual team members in Avengers: Solo (2011–2012), a five-issue miniseries that paired Hawkeye (Clint Barton) with the young, legacy-minded Brandon Sharpe. Written by Jen Van Meter and illustrated by Roger Robinson, the series explored the archer's mentorship and his uneasy alliance with the super-skrilled student Finesse, while also crossing paths with Hank Pym's Giant-Man. It offered a character-driven look at what it means to be an Avenger when you're not part of a full roster, blending espionage and personal stakes.
