Ally Sloper

A short-lived 1970s revival from Alan Class, this four-issue series brought back the iconic Victorian-era comic character Ally Sloper for a brief run. Writer and artist Harry Bishop handled the majority of the stories, updating the classic scheming everyman for a new audience. While a minor footnote in the character's long history, it represents a late attempt to keep the spirit of early British humor comics alive.
