Ally Sloper #1

This anthology issue contains three stories: an Ally Sloper adventure where he finds himself penniless and seeks three coppers, leading him into various comedic scrapes; "Fearless Frank and His Assistant Roy," a crime story in which Fearless Frank receives a phone call and goes for a ride to investigate tire tracks, then pursues crooks while his assistant discusses a package they discover; and "Ally Sloper's International—Scotland v. England, 1948," a humorous sports piece depicting Ally playing in a football match between Scotland and England. The issue also includes an educational feature titled "Did You Know?" that explains geological and astronomical facts about Earth's crust, volcanoes, and the sun.
