The Deadly Camera
6.5 pp · western-frontier

Tom Mix pursues a dangerous gang known as the Red Masks after a reporter is murdered for photographing them without their masks—evidence the dying man entrusted to Tom before his last breath. When Tom takes the incriminating camera to a photographer to develop the film, the Red Masks set a deadly trap, locking both men in the darkroom and setting it ablaze. Tom must fight his way out of the inferno, outwit the gang's coordinated ambush, and ensure the murderers answer for their crimes.

Baby Talk
0.5 pp · humor
Formal Formalities
4 pp · humor; western-frontier

When Jeeter throws a formal party and won't invite his horse Preposterous, the talkative mount sets out to needle him about every detail—from what "tails" and "soup and fish" really mean to the bewildering menu and guest list. It's a fast-paced, pun-filled Western comedy where misunderstandings and wisecracks fly as quickly as the jokes, all revolving around Preposterous's relentless ribbing of his exhausted owner.

Double Motive Revenge
7 pp · western-frontier

When a drunken troublemaker named O'Lear throws a beer mug near Tom Mix's horse in Dobie, Tom teaches him a lesson—but that's just the beginning. A mysterious scheme unfolds as O'Lear and a gang of hired thugs ambush Tom at a dance, and when Tom catches on to the real plot, he discovers someone has stolen a prized thoroughbred from the TM Bar Ranch and is making a run for the border. Tom and his wonder horse Tony pursue the thief across the territory, determined to recover what was taken and uncover who orchestrated the whole setup.

The Bum Steer
4 pp · humor; western-frontier

When Rawhide Hotchkiss visits Cactus Pete to settle up after a disastrous stay at a hotel the cowpoke recommended, the two quickly descend into a comedy of accusations and insults—Pete demanding payment for his miserable experience while Rawhide counters with increasingly ridiculous excuses and comebacks. What starts as a serious debt becomes a battle of wits where neither man backs down, leading to absurd solutions and even more absurd "gifts" that only make things worse. In this 1952 tale, these two frontier characters prove that sometimes the best way to win an argument is to simply out-talk your opponent into submission.

The Cursed Dobie Dope Ring
5.5 pp · western-frontier

Tom Mix investigates a dope-smuggling ring threatening the town of Dobie when a young man dies under suspicious circumstances on a mountain trail. As Tom closes in on the truth, the real criminals attempt to frame an innocent friend, forcing the straight shooter to separate fact from clever deception before more lives are lost.
