The Kilroys #49 (1954)

In "Who's Zoo!", Jackson and Natch’s harmless plan to start a pet collection quickly spirals when their mail-order animals keep growing bigger—and more aggressive—thanks to a mischievous (or possibly mistaken) shipment from an elderly business owner. As a lynx, a goat, a bear, and even a gorilla show up in rapid succession, each one wreaking havoc on Mr. Kilroy’s property, the boys must figure out how to stop the parade of increasingly unwieldy creatures before things get completely out of paw.

Natch and Jackson trade the chaos of their girlfriends for a quiet fishing trip in the hills, hoping to escape the drama—only to find their peaceful retreat already occupied by a bank robber and his girlfriend hiding out up the road.
