The Comet #55 is an all-star comic anthology featuring multiple stories. "The Golden Scarab" follows Miles and Nina as they search for Ben Hass's treasure in an exotic location, encountering a mysterious merchant and a native guide with a sacred scarab that leads them through various perils and confrontations. "Round the World in the Flying Fish" depicts Jack and Jill's experimental trip around the world with Uncle Bob in a remarkable aircraft, during which they rescue a white girl from island savages and narrowly escape with the help of Uncle Bob's scientific ingenuity. Additional features include "Don Deeds and the Rocketeers," "Out of Doors," and various text columns, games, and reader-submitted content sections.
