# The Comet #33 (New Series), December 16, 1947 This is an all-star anthology comic containing three main stories. "Jungle Lord" follows Dick as he struggles against the villainous Taura and her witch-doctor Snape in the jungle; after a hard fight, Dick defeats them and rescues Queen Zorina and the Zamba warriors, though he pursues the fleeing Snape into the undergrowth where he apparently meets a crocodile. "Round the World in the Flying Fish" features Jack and Jill traveling around the world with their Uncle Bob in an experimental all-purpose aircraft; when the machine becomes damaged near a volcano, they must crash-land in a strange alien landscape where they encounter a giant spoon-shaped creature and eventually face off against a saber-toothed tiger. The issue also includes "The Purple Sunflower" (continued from a previous page), along with Christmas-themed features, reader contests, puzzles, and a Pen Friend Club section.
