Sun #58 is an anthology featuring three main stories: "Young Joey Always Late for School!" follows a mischievous boy who is accidentally swept up in a pirate adventure when he boards the wrong vessel, leading to a confrontation with Captain Cuttle and his crew. "South of St. Louis," based on the Warner Brothers film starring Joel McCrea and Alexis Smith, depicts three friends—Luke Cottrell, Kip, and Charlie Burns—navigating the lawless frontier during the American Civil War as they encounter outlaws and seek to protect their interests. "Find It Who Can!" by John Hunter is a thrilling sea adventure in which three boys named Billy, Tom, and Berand search for hidden treasure on a remote Atlantic island, discovering mysteries and danger as they pursue their quest.
