Sun #101 is an anthology issue featuring multiple stories: "Alfred the Great" follows Alfred as a Viking leader who sings louder than other Vikings and defeats enemies in battle; "Clip M'Cord Special Agent" involves Clip M'Cord, a secret agent imprisoned by scientist Crook, who escapes and battles the villainous Bronsky to prevent him from conquering the world using advanced aircraft and a weapon called "The Mole"; "King Solomon's Mines" is a picture story based on the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film about Alan Quatermain leading an expedition into the African jungle searching for the legendary mines; and "Tough Tempest—Crime Buster!" depicts Inspector Duframe and his assistants Rod and Tug pursuing smugglers and engaging in a dangerous confrontation involving a lorry on a mountain road. The issue also contains shorter features including "Why Willie" and "At the Zoo."
