This anthology issue features multiple stories: "Buck Jones, Fighting Sheriff in The Rock Valley Raiders" depicts Buck Jones pursuing crook Jake Harman and his gang, who are rustling cattle and causing trouble in the valley until Buck chases them down with the help of his horse Millie. "Sailor Sam and the Magic Collar Stud" follows Sailor Sam as he attempts to retrieve a magical collar stud from a wizard named Whiffkin, encountering various obstacles and magical creatures in his quest. "Hal Hotspur" shows Hal captured by his enemy Fitz-Stephen and imprisoned in a castle, leading Borgund the Bandit to stage a rescue attempt in the forest. Additional stories include "King of the Wild Horses," depicting a prince's battle against a pierald yearling and wild horses; "Monte Cristo and the Pharaoh's Curse," a continuation involving Francis and mysterious happenings in an emperor's tomb; and the humor strip "Wily Willie" along with an advertisement for "Like Dog, Like Master" chocolate bars.
