This anthology issue contains three stories: "Secret Member of the Silent Three," featuring Betty Roland, Joan Derwent, and Peggy West as members of a secret society attempting to salvage an ancient metal beacon while evading search parties on an island; "Lonely Boy of Lonely Isle" by Hazel Armitage, in which Lynne Benson discovers a mysterious chain and grappling hook hidden in a cupboard at Redrocks, leading her to uncover a secret connected to the Lonely Boy who lives on the nearby island; and "Nina—The News Reel Girl" by Jane Preston, where young newsreel photographer Nina Taylor follows two detectives investigating the theft of the Bailey Lodge necklace, discovering they are searching a ship called the Laura and eventually helping them recover the stolen jewels.
