The Jester #1461 is an anthology issue featuring several stories: "The Comical Capers of Constable Cuddlecock," in which the bumbling constable attempts to solve a financial problem and ends up in a series of slapstick misadventures involving a young man, a dog, and hidden money; "Son of a Gun-Man," a Western tale about the outlaw Glyn Harding and his son Sonny, whose paths cross with a posse and a gunman as they navigate loyalty, justice, and family; and shorter comic strips including "Uncle Squibs," "Lizzie and Her Cousins," "Sandy and Dusty," and "Seeum & Squeezum," along with "A Night Watchman's Tales" featuring "The Midnight Mystery," a story about a taxi driver named Terry who encounters a mysterious stranger and investigates a suspicious incident.
