# Girls' Crystal #1058 An anthology issue containing three stories: "Ella and the Mississippi Showboat," in which Anne Fraser and Paddy Clayton are persuaded by a girl named Nora Bates to enter a skiing contest to Bear Glacier, only to discover Nora has ulterior motives involving a message from a fortune-teller named Gina. "Kathy—The Camera Girl" by Elise Probyn follows Kathy Jessop as she pursues a photograph of foreign cycling champion Leon Duval, leading her into an adventure involving a mysterious prisoner hidden in a Belgian house and uncovering a smuggling operation. "The Make-Believe Princess" features Deanna Stanley, who resembles Princess Zena of Marovia, becoming entangled in a plot to recover stolen state papers when the real princess's brother becomes involved with foreign powers and a case of switched documents.
