This anthology issue contains three stories: "The Secret of Bear Glacier," in which girls Anne and Paddy enter a ski-jumping contest in Switzerland despite warnings that the route is too dangerous, ultimately completing the course successfully with the help of their dog; "Carol of the Circus," by Doreen Gray, featuring Carol Medrum dealing with a miserly landlord who threatens to evict the circus unless she can solve the problem of a flooded field needed for performances; and "The Make-Believe Princess," in which Deanna Stanley, who resembles Princess Zena of Marovia, takes the princess's place to help recover stolen state papers, only to be pursued by Count Sparza before both girls are thrown from their horses.
