This anthology issue contains three stories: "The Secret of Bear Glacier," in which schoolgirls Anne and Paddy attempt to prove their skiing ability by entering a contest at Bear Glacier in Switzerland, only to be stranded when a horse-drawn sleigh goes awry, forcing them to seek help at a shepherd's chalet. "Carol of the Circus" by Doreen Gray follows Carol, a circus performer whose father is accused of theft; Carol discovers the real thief is a man named Popcorn and recovers stolen items, clearing her father's name. "The Make-Believe Princess" tells of Deanna Stanley, who resembles Princess Zena of Marovia and is mistaken for her; Deanna and her friend Zena ride to intercept a messenger carrying stolen state papers and prevent them from reaching conspirators who plan to overthrow the Princess.
