Girls' Crystal #1047 is an anthology featuring three stories. "Mystery Girl of the Nile" follows Yasmin, who must reach Sheikh Sidi's palace by noon to prove her claim as his lost granddaughter, with help from schoolgirl tourists Sandra Drake and Beryl Gregg who form a human pyramid against the palace wall. "Carol of the Circus" by Doreen Gray tells of Carol Meldrum, whose father owns a circus, as she attempts to save a wild horse named Tara from being sold, discovering the horse is gentle despite its dangerous reputation. "The Make-Believe Princess" features Deanna Stanley, who resembles Princess Zena of Mavania and is enlisted to take the princess's place at the palace while the real princess remains hidden; Deanna and her nurse Martha search a curio shop for a duplicate key to prove the prince's innocence of treason charges.
