Canteen Kate tries to help Private Al get back in the General's good graces by retrieving weed-killer from the supply depot—but a mix-up with a requisitioned refrigerator and some creative misdirection leads to a chaotic mishap in the General's prized garden. With plenty of slapstick hijinks and military red tape, this 1952 adventure proves that good intentions don't always lead to good results.

Two feuding Marine corporals—Steve Farrell and Tony Wright—are sent on a dangerous mission to destroy a Korean troop train hidden on a rail siding, forced to work together despite their bitter rivalry. When enemy fire wounds Tony before they reach their target, Steve must improvise a daring plan to stop the locomotive before it evacuates enemy troops, testing whether these rivals can truly become teammates.

Major Error

Private Thistlewait dreams of a romantic pickup duty when he's ordered to fetch a WAC officer named Major Smythe from the station—but his hopes come crashing down when he discovers the Major is a formidable older woman, not the beauty he'd imagined. Just when he thinks his ordeal is over, the Sergeant delivers news that turns his narrow escape into an even worse assignment: he's been voluntold to escort Major Smythe's sister to the post dance that evening.

Strategy for Suicide
7 pp · war

Leatherneck Jack and his squad of Marines land under cover of smoke to assault an enemy fort, but their reconnaissance mission turns into a desperate race against time when they discover the main gun battery threatening U.S. naval operations. Using a captured enemy soldier to guide them through the fort's tunnels, the Marines fight their way to the command post and rig the magazine to blow—then must scramble to escape before the entire installation detonates. With enemy reinforcements paddling in from the mainland and the clock ticking down, it becomes a brutal question of whether Jack and his men can reach safety before the blast brings the whole structure down around them.
