Comet #98 is an anthology comprising four comic stories: "Scamp" follows the mischievous red pup as he wreaks havoc in a garden, destroying his father's vegetable patch and getting into various escapades with his family. "Splash Page and the Grey Rocket" features reporter Splash Page and his assistant Jiff React pursuing criminals in a high-powered car across a bridge, with Duke Jordon chasing Splash Page as Miles Millan attempts to stop them from using a dangerous motor-bike. "Buck Jones: Secret of Red Canyon" depicts Buck Jones and his gang rescuing the men of Alkali City from Peg-Leg and his bandits who have kidnapped them in Red Canyon, with Buck obtaining hidden guns to overcome the criminals. "Don Deeds" shows Don Deeds, Hoo Sung, and Mai-Man encountering enemies while crossing a rocky ridge via rolling sphere, leading to an encounter with a whistler who knows of a great diamond in Kwung Chu.
