Black Fury

Duke Linden captures Black Fury on the prairie using helpless colts as bait, then uses tight bandages to restrict the stallion's movements and brands him with a mark labeling him a killer—a ruthless trick to make himself famous as the only rider who can tame such a "vicious" horse. When Linden takes his traveling rodeo to New York, Black Fury's true nature is revealed when a child wanders into danger: the supposedly killer bronc leaps his enclosure to protect her from charging bulls, exposing the whole deception and earning the city's admiration.

Forgotten Glory
5 pp · western-frontier

Sheriff Sam Colley faces dismissal from his position in Carter's Wells—the townspeople believe his age makes him unfit for the job, forgetting the peace and order he once brought to their lawless territory. When a wounded Texas Ranger arrives with news of dangerous outlaws Wolf Faine and Luke Foy in the area, Sam volunteers to track them down alone, determined to prove his worth. What unfolds is a tense pursuit that puts the old lawman's experience and cunning to the ultimate test.

Black Fury, the legendary stallion of the Black Hills, becomes the obsession of outlaw Turk Leel, who's determined to capture and tame the wild horse at any cost. When Turk's methods turn desperate and dangerous, he discovers that the powerful mustang—and the renegade warriors who respect him—have their own plans for how this rivalry will end. A frontier tale where one man's stubborn pride collides with a horse that refuses to be broken.

The Palomino Mare
8 pp · western-frontier
Black Fury

When Black Fury hears a palomino mare's cries of pain from a brutal horse ranch, the stallion charges in to protect her from the cruel rancher Dirk Bentner—but their escape to Sweet-Grass Valley only draws Bentner's wrath deeper. Now Bentner assembles a crew of hardened men with a calculated trap, determined to capture both the palomino and Black Fury himself to settle his score. Black Fury must use all his cunning and strength to outsmart Bentner's scheme and keep the herd safe from those who would exploit them.
