Beagle—The Demon Detective" by Robert Plate and Harvey Fuller, in which the detective attends a carnival and investigates a case involving dead bodies; "Heathcliff the Hobo" by Art Helfant, a comedic tale about a hobo and a boy's dispute over roller skates that concludes with the hobo demonstrating the skates' benefits; and "Dr. Drew the Zoo Man—The Case of the Deadly Skunk" by Joe Certa, wherein Dr. Drew investigates a mysterious death at a farm, with a character named Luke Spinvy claiming a man named Frank Hamrock was killed by a skunk and that the incident may have involved revenge.
