In order to rescue a princess Toyotomi was assigned to guard from the octopus demon, Setsuna must masquerade as a traveling princess in hopes of luring the demon into attacking her. Concurrently, in a flashback, young Toyotomi accompanies Inuyasha and Miroku as they battle a demon menacing travelers.
