Kraven challenges Beast to a hunt for the life of Avia. Tad Carter meets with a mysterious group of people who seem to be interested in the X-Men, Lorna in particular. FBI liaison Fred Duncan visits Professor X at the Martin home, and hints of a relationship between Teri Martin and the Professor are dropped. Beast defeats Kraven, and Marvel Girl wipes Kraven's memory of the encounter. Lorna is drawn by a mysterious voice, and floats away into the sky.
