The reunion of the X-Men at the mansion is recounted briefly. The X-Men discuss the upcoming wedding of Angel's mother to his evil uncle. Lorna is approached by Tad Carter, a strange young man who seems to have the power of suggestion. Havok and Lorna decide to head to the Himalayas to check out a mysterious Cerebro reading. Dazzler attacks the X-Men outright just before the wedding, but is defeated. Dr. Stuart, a closet mutant bigot, has been helping Dazzler slowly poison Angel's mother. Kathryn Worthington dies.
