X-Men The Hidden Years #14
In "Yet No More Like My Father...", Angel and Cyclops push forward against the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, even as Krueger and his ragtag crew seize Marvel Girl in a bid for revenge. With Professor X successfully silencing Ashley Martin’s powers and the X-Men uniting to stop both threats, peace begins to take shape—though not without a final twist: Warren’s mother is about to marry a super-villain, a secret Candy Southern reveals on the ride home. Written and illustrated by John Byrne, with inks by Tom Palmer, colors by Greg Wright, and letters by Byrne himself, this 2001 X-Men tale blends action, emotional stakes, and the quiet hope of redemption, all capped by Byrne’s distinctive cover art.
