This volume kicks off the 'X-Men: The End' trilogy, a possible future saga set years after the main X-Men timeline. Written by Chris Claremont with art by Sean Chen, it presents a final chapter for the mutant race as old enemies resurface and new threats emerge, testing the bonds of the X-Men family. Collecting the first six issues of the 2004-2005 series, it sets the stage for an epic conclusion to the X-Men's story.
