“Beware of the Blob!”

In "Beware of the Blob!", the X-Men are sent to investigate a new mutant detected by Professor X, leading them to a carnival where they meet the immovable Blob—whose thick, bouncy form deflects bullets and resists movement. Though they invite him to join the team, the Blob declines and returns to the circus, forcing the X-Men to bring him back to the mansion to erase his knowledge of their secret. Written by Stan Lee and illustrated by Jack Kirby with inks by Paul Reinman, this 1994 classic features dynamic art and a clever twist, with Adam Hughes providing the striking cover.

Professor X detects a new mutant and sends the X-Men to investigate. They arrive at a carnival and encounter the Blob, a very fat sideshow attraction who can bounce bullets off of his malleable hide as well as anchor himself to the earth and become immovable. The X-Men bring him back to the mansion as a potential member but the Blob spurns their invitation and returns to the carnival. Realizing that the Blob knows their secret, the X-Men lure him back to the mansion where Xavier wipes his memory.
