“Freedom Is a Four-Letter Word”

In "Freedom Is a Four-Letter Word," the X-Men find themselves caught between a city they’re trying to protect and a force sworn to stop them, as Freedom Force moves in on their San Francisco hideout. With tensions rising and the local police stepping in, the team faces a new kind of threat—one that challenges not just their strength, but their place in the world. Written by Chris Claremont and drawn with sharp precision by John Romita Jr., with Dan Green’s inks, Glynis Oliver’s colors, and Tom Orzechowski’s lettering, the issue’s haunting cover by Jae Lee captures the storm brewing beneath the surface.
