“Suicide Leper: Part One”

In "Suicide Leper: Part One," X-Force is thrown into chaos as the Leper Queen, under Oracle’s command, unleashes a devastating attack that kills 1,100 at an anti-mutant rally. With another massacre imminent, the team splits up to prevent further bloodshed—X-23 and Archangel caught in the crossfire of the next explosion while Beast races to complete the time-travel devices meant to send them into the future to aid Cable and Hope. Meanwhile, Rahne reunites with Hrimhari, the Asgardian wolf prince she once loved. Written by Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost, with all interior art by Clayton Crain and a cover by Crain, this 2009 issue blends high-stakes urgency with personal moments, all rendered in Crain’s striking, intense style.

Under orders from Oracle, the Leper Queen forces Beautiful Dreamer to explode in a crowd of people attending an anti-mutant rally, killing 1,100. With the threat of another such attack looming, X-Force splits up to try and cover all the possible bases. X-23 and Archangel draw the short straw and get caught in the next explosion. Meanwhile, Beast finishes working on the machines that will send X-Force into the future to help Cable and Hope. Also, Rahne is reunited with her former love, the Asgardian wolf prince, Hrimhari.
