The Purifiers have infiltrated SHIELD and stolen a powerful mystery item and Cyclops tasks Wolverine with reforming X-Force to take them out. Wolverine is skeptical about dragging Warpath, X-23 and Rahne onto this covert and violent team but his members are all on board and already tracking the Purifiers. Matthew Risman, leader of the Purifiers, connects Bastion's head to Nimrod's body and resurrects the villain. X-Force attacks but Rahne is captured and Risman threatens to shoot her if the team doesn't stand down. X-23 attacks and Risman fires.
