The X-Club responds to a strange mutagenic incident in the ocean beneath their newly-launched space elevator. Dr. Nemesis has a starfish grafted onto his head verbalizing his inner thoughts while Kavita Rao tends to the Atlantean Lida. Danger continues her seemingly unprovokes attack on the X-men while Madison Jeffries attempts to reason with her. As Nemesis dives into the mutagenic incident, he uncovers a ship at the center of the activity, only to have his air hose severed and abandoned by Stratocorp.
