Wyatt Earp, Frontier Marshal #61

Wyatt Earp confronts a drygulcher who has been hired to kill him, but the marshal's quick draw proves decisive in the gunfight. When Mayor Meigs's man fails to stop Earp, the mayor himself attempts to escape, offering a thousand dollars in gold to an old rascal for information about Earp's whereabouts. A mob ambush is set at Meigs's warehouse, but Earp—warned and prepared—turns the tables on his attackers and forces the mayor to flee on horseback.
