This issue contains two stories: "Owlhoot Overlord," in which Wyatt Earp confronts outlaws who have robbed a bank and must track them down; and "Red Gold," in which Earp faces off against a power-mad Mexican aristocrat over disputed gold while a young soldier named "The Kid" proves his mettle in combat. A third story, "Ginley's Grenade," presents a historical narrative about Indian Wars conflicts at Fort Carson, featuring accounts from Mayor Walter Pearson and young cavalry enlistee John Henderson, with tensions arising when Chief Running Fox threatens a wagon train led by the pacifist Hubert Collins.
