This is an anthology issue containing multiple stories. "The Flame" features the fire-powered hero pursuing enemies and using his deadly power over flames. A second story involves a character named Yarko racing across a desert on a camel to reach the Great Pyramids by dusk, where Doctor Nalón and his men are searching for hidden tombs. Another story depicts a confrontation where a man in a yellow checkered suit engages in combat with an opponent, using "mushroom bullets" as weapons. "Spark Stevens of the Navy" follows the rollicking sailor Spark Stevens and his pal Chuck Dawson as they become involved in a scheme to capture counterfeiters, with the plot thickened by a woman offering deeds to a gold mine in exchange for eight hundred dollars.
